My current practice uses ‘found’ photography as a way of confronting individual expectations of the medium resulting from experiences in both artistic and personal contexts, in an attempt to ask questions of authorship, ownership, sincerity, validity and understandings of presentational devices.

The use of material from multiple sources and of varying quality (both ‘amateur’ and ‘professional’) allows the work to be received as a whole, whilst still making it very apparent that each photographic element is its own separate entity, torn from its original intended context (sometimes literally), and thrown into new conversations with those around it.
